Jane Whiter
President and Chairperson, BA (Commerce), GAICD, MRMIA

Jane Whiter is an innovative and diversified executive, with domain experience across the operational spectrum. Her combined industry and strong regulatory experience offer a unique skill set, with breadth and exposure to Government, the construction industry, NGOs, SaaS platform implementation, health and large membership-based organisations. 

Jane is excited about the opportunity to drive transformational change in risk, social reform and contribute to  technological advancement across all areas of Australian business.

Stacey Berkman
CA, AGIA, MRMIA

Stacey is a Chartered Accountant and risk leader with over 16 years’ experience in risk, internal audit, governance and commercial finance across various industries. Stacey has held roles leading Risk and Internal Audit teams and is passionate about finding innovative, sustainable, commercial and practical risk management solutions to support management teams in navigating uncertainty and complexity.

Natasha Foster
MRMIA

Natasha has an extensive career across multiple risk management disciplines, with 25-years’ experience across different industries and countries. Natasha strongly believes in a dynamic approach to risk management, continually evolving in collaboration and partnership with her business stakeholders. Her passion for risk drives her to continue to progress the risk management field and she believes the RMIA is in a fantastic place to strategically influence the global industry.

Kylie Kneale
MRMIA

Kylie has expertise in practical risk management in sales and marketing and has led high performing teams in client roles in software, finance and energy. Enables business growth leaders at all stages to learn risk management skills. Kylie is also Chief Client Officer for Summerland Financial Services, where she is passionate about the potential of client-owned banking.

Kerri Stephens
GAICD, MRMIA, CPRA

Kerri Stephens has over a decade of executive and board-level expertise in governance, risk, and resilience across diverse industries including financial services, agriculture, tourism, government infrastructure, not-for-profit and healthcare.

Holding pivotal leadership positions to successfully develop and deliver risk and resilience strategies for Royal Flying Doctor Service, SA Water, Journey Beyond and Elders Ltd (ASX: ELD).

Her multifaceted professional experience, strategic acumen, ability to critical analyse and synthesise complex concepts, together with her clear communication and collaborative working style makes her a trusted advisor to executives and boards alike.

Kerri is a graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and holds a Graduate Certificate in Psychology of Risk.

Her personal values and ethics align with RMIA’s mission in striving for excellence within the profession and setting the standard for professional competencies.

Sharon Wilkes
CPA, MRMIA, CPRM

Sharon is the Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk at the Transport Accident Commission. With 10+ years’ experience in the corporate financial sector and over 13 years’ dedicated tenure at TAC, including Governance and Finance, Strategy and Innovation and Enterprise Risk, Sharon has extensive knowledge of finance, risk management and governance and compliance practices.

Sharon’s passion for governance and integrity began in public accounting where she honed her skills in specialist taxation and estate planning.  Transitioning to a role in state government provided an opportunity to broaden her skills in auditing, compliance and regulatory frameworks.  Enjoying an opportunity as a Risk Champion sparked her interest in risk management and Sharon enjoys the broad stakeholder engagement and dynamic environment of the risk landscape.

Sharon holds a Bachelor Degree in Business/Arts (Japanese) from Swinburne University and an Advanced Diploma of Risk Management. Sharon is also a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Practising Risk Manager (CPRM).

Sharon is an avid golfer, supporting her local club on the Audit & Risk Committee. She also enjoys travelling, reading and flying (small aircraft). She enjoys new opportunities and as a wife and mother,  understands the delicate balance between work and family and is a keen supporter and mentor of women looking to advance their professional career whilst understanding the challenges this entails.

Sherie Walczak
MBA, CPRM, AdvDipAcc, DipMgt, DipWHS, DipQA

Sherie is an MBA qualified, Certified Practicing Risk Manager (CPRM) who has extensive experience, both private and public sectors, in leading a diverse range of corporate services portfolios including corporate governance, assurance, risk management, resilience, WHS, wellbeing, finance and insurance.

She is passionate about unlocking the full potential of an organisation through leading innovative and collaborative practices to achieve quality outcomes for all stakeholders.

She has a transformational leadership style with a clear focus on the achievement of strategic objectives - all whilst putting people first to enable a positive, customer focused, culture of enhanced staff wellbeing within an environment of continuous improvement and service excellence.

Sherie recently moved to Flinders Ports Holdings as their Group Risk and Assurance Manager from her role as Senior Manager Corporate Governance, Risk and Resilience at SA Water where she also held the role of State Manager for the Engineering Functional Support Group, appointed within the State Emergency Management Plan.

Sherie diligently served the South Australian and Northern Territory risk community as a member of the RMIA SA-NT Chapter Executive from 2018 and held the role of the RMIA SA-NT Chapter President from June 2020 to June 2023. The RMIA SA-NT Chapter was awarded the RMIA Chapter of the Year Award for 2022 and 2023.

Sherie is also an advocate for volunteering. She has been an active volunteer for the Sammy D Foundation, a violence prevention charity for young people aged 10 to 25 years. She is a current member of their Finance Risk and Audit Committee and a past member of their Fundraising and Events Committee.

Her aim is to elevate her valuable experience and local insights to the Board to help shape initiatives that support the risk community in building risk capabilities, elevate the risk profession and provide opportunities for genuine connection.

David Butters

David has 25 years' global executive search experience prior to a decade within Investment Banking, including setting up a trading floor-based risk management function incorporating operational, market and counterparty credit risk. Prior to founding Heath & Ford, David worked for a major global search firm focusing on senior governance professionals across Europe, Middle East, Asia and North America.
 
A value-based professional, with deep subject matter expertise, who engages with the utmost integrity.
